Sage Truck Driving Schools Expands with New Locations

As the demand for qualified truck drivers continues to grow in the United States, Sage Truck Driving Schools, a leading national provider of CDL and truck driver training, is expanding its footprint with new locations in Albuquerque, New Mexico; Dallas, Texas; and Phoenix, Arizona. Applications are now being accepted at sageschools.com. Scholarships and financial assistance options are available for those who qualify.

The American Trucking Associations (ATA), the largest and most comprehensive national trade association for the trucking industry, reports that through the year 2025 an estimated 890,000 drivers will need to be hired; this means over 88,000 drivers will be needed each year to meet industry growth and driver retirements.

“The decision to open new locations in Albuquerque, Dallas and Phoenix comes on the heels of Sage's commitment to meeting the growing demand for skilled and well-trained truck drivers in the transportation industry,” said Megan Willford, Sage’s Southwest Regional Director. “With a legacy of excellence in providing comprehensive and hands-on training, Sage Truck Driving Schools continues to be at the forefront of shaping the future of the trucking workforce.”

“Sage has a stellar reputation among students and employers of commercial drivers, who recognize Sage schools for our focus on quality, safety and student outcomes,” Willford added. “We’re in this for the long haul. The surging demand for CDL and truck driver training programs amidst a national shortage of drivers has created an environment where Sage has grown.”

“Our new Dallas school is strategically positioned to serve the dynamic and rapidly expanding logistics hub of the region. As one of the major economic centers in the United States, Dallas offers an ideal setting for aspiring truck drivers to receive top-notch training,” Willford said. “Situated in the heart of the Southwest, the Phoenix school is poised to serve as a pivotal training hub for individuals seeking rewarding careers in trucking. With a booming logistics industry and a strategic location, Phoenix aligns perfectly with Sage's mission to offer accessible, high-quality training. Sage's presence in Albuquerque also aims to cater to the increasing demand for qualified truck drivers in the Southwest. The city's strategic location and growing industrial base make it another optimal choice for Sage's expansion.”

Sage’s mission is to make sure every student receives personal attention and hands-on training to make them the safest and most knowledgeable driver they can be. Sage's commitment extends beyond training to supporting graduates in their transition to the workforce. The schools provide robust job placement assistance programs, forging partnerships with leading trucking companies to help graduates secure fulfilling employment opportunities.

Sage’s first location opened in Billings, Montana in 1989. Today the company’s corporate office is located in Camp Hill, Pennsylvania. Over the course of three decades, Sage grew operations, eventually expanding and today has 25 locations in 14 states (AZ, CO, ID, IN, FL, MT, NC, NM, NY, PA, SC, TX UT, WY).
